Angus Arts hosts professional touring theatre, music, dance, film and events for all ages in a wide variety of interesting locations both indoors and out of doors. We take part in many national festivals including Sound Festival of new music, Luminate Festival of Creative Ageing, Puppet Animation Scotland’s Easter festival, Scotland’s Festival of Museums. Performers travel to us from throughout Britain, Europe and beyond. We bring to rural places stimulating productions of the highest quality. Past events include:


  • Numerous Theatre Shows, including ‘Whisky Galore’, Mull Theatre Company (Mull);  ‘Angus: Weaver of Grass’, Horse + Bamboo (Lancashire); ‘In Praise of Elephants’, Farnham Maltings (Surrey); ‘Tartuffe’; ‘Me Myself and Miss Gibbs’,  Francesca Millican Slater (England); ‘Ill Met by Moonlight’, Hijinx (Wales), ‘Der Tannenbaum’, Puppen (Germany), ‘Oetsie Poetsie’, Vlinders and Co (Belgium)
  • Two days with Michael Morpurgo, Children’s Laureate
  • ‘Tree Day’ in our indoor forest with ‘Singing Ringing Tree’ from Folding Theatre (Scotland) and ‘The Man who Planted Trees’ from Puppet State (Scotland)
  • Since 2003 a wide variety of puppet performances from UK and abroad within Scotland’s national Puppet Animation Festival
